Sorry this is off the subject. But what is APNIC . . .

There are 6 main Internet domain registrars located around the world:

1. Network Solutions - The original domain registrar which handles COM, NET, ORG and EDU domain names
2. NIC (Network Internet Center) .GOV that handles all US Government domains
3. ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) manages Internet numbering resources for North America, a portion of the Caribbean, and sub-equatorial Africa.
4. RIPE (Reseaux IP Europeens) handles domains for all of Europe
5. APNIC (Asia Pacific Network Internet Center) which handles all of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Africa
6. LACNIC (Latin America and the Caribbean Internet Registry)

Originally there where only the first 5. Number 6 has recently been added because of the increasing size of the Internet and domain naming.

In addition, many companies now provide services to register domain names, however, they still must go through one of the above.

Domain names can now include the following:
.aero, .arpa, .biz, .com, .coop, .edu, .info, .int, .museum, .net, and .org
