Well, Helene good for you as you have now entered the Dell business class same day support service: wait till 3 days have passed for same day support service then call us again to remind us of the extra fee's that you have paid for no service.

I know Dell resellers who can't label themselves as Dell resellers because of some ridiculous protocols that make drawing blood from a stone an easy proposition, officially there are something like only 3 Dell resellers yet there actually hundreds. And if you are a Dell reseller support is a pipe dream on a perfect day.

One client who has bought Dell products for years has had zero problems while another I know received 4 joysticks for one business desktop, makes sense to receive gaming tools for a business pc right? Plus they recommended that the client should keep them as it would be too difficult to return them that was in 1998 so maybe they don't such things anymore. I hope ;)

Dell does make good products from their handhelds to their servers, but their support (like many others) leaves much to be desired at times.

Hopefully after Tuesday you can begin to enjoy your new system before you throw it out of a window that is :)

Hi Guys.

Another update.. UGH.

I called Dell to find out WHEN the tech is coming, and the salesman was
surprised - he wasn't here already.. He put me on hold. came back, and said,
They're NOT coming, and that I can install the SR CD's. myself.. with the
help if necessary.. of tech support.. via phone.

I said, NO WAY!!!!!  I was PROMISED by YOU(the salesperson). I didnt "ask
for it". YOU told me.. you're authorizing it.. Well, he had to conference
call. with this "woman". and I won't even begin to tell you. what I really
want to call her..she was the nastiest person. on the planet. and I said, I
want to speak to someone HIGHER UP. who HAS the authority to send a tech
out.

Finally, on hold.(she said, it would take a few minutes). I was on hold for
almost 15 minutes. and finally this "special tech "(whomever the heck he
was). I started to tell him, my story. about the whole mess. and he said,
FORGET.. what you've been told... "I'm in charge now. and this is what I"m
going to do".. I'm going to send out a new hard drive'..it will go directly
to the tech.. and by tues.. He will call me. and come to install it..

I said, what about the SR CD's. and he said, put them away.. you won't need
them anymore.. He said, he's giving me a new hard drive. and the rest will
be installed.. with the various CD's. that came with the computer..

So, what that means. I'm not entirely sure. But I can tell you... I was
LIVID. when they tried to pull that.... I never asked for a tech to come out
here. I was TOLD.. that I was getting it. as a courtesy - cause of all I had
been thru. and then this had to happen.

So, anyway, the tech will be calling me .. by tues. to set up the appt.. and
hopefully.. all will go well.. from then on.

So, thats the update for this afternoon.
