Ok, now I understand. You can't provide too much information. There are so many different ways to set up an internet connection. I've had the same problem with Win98 where nothing I did would restore internet connectivity but a re-install. Usually it was TCP-IP screwed up. Not even re-installing that protocol would fix the problem. It's one of those situations where reinstalling is faster than figuring out the problem. Especially if you've seen it before.
