I use weatherbug and have for several years. I also run AdAware and Spybot and it does not take it out with either. As such, I would say that its at least not a registered spyware, but instead, a sponsored program that uses advertising to keep one version free. You can purchase the ad-free version, but what I have for free does what I want.

Hi!

I would like the groups opinions on these two programs. I heard recently
that Weatherbug was Spyware and not to use it. Does anyone know?

On a new computer in my home, where I am trying to get rid of all the spam
in my mailbox, I found a program called SpamSubtract. It looks like it came
with the computer as preloaded software, though not set up. This is the
company that makes it: http://www.intermute.com/ So far, I like it,
though I have some questions about it, that I want to put to the
manufacturer. I don't know whether or not it simply deletes the email, or
if it is blocking the spam so that eventually spam can be reduced. It says
it has a 30 day free trial. It was VERY easy to set up, and works well.
You can preview an email if you are unsure if it is one you want or not. In
set up, it will pull up your address book, so all those addresses are easily
incorporated. Then I found out how to set up mailling lists, so I didn't
have to enter everyone's addresses manually. It is quick and easy to click
on the friend button when you have an email address that might not have been
in your address book.

If it matters, I'm running an HP 2.08 ghz Athlon, with XP, and Outlook
Express.

Thanks for anyone's help!
Lori
