I know it is not like the speed of ram but not > much I can do on that issue it would seem. Well, everything I've found so far states you can only use 512 of RAM for Win98... I had considered doing a dual boot the next time I have to reinstall windows (I have WinXP but some of my older programs I really like won't work w/ WinXP) but I have 1gb ram and plan to go up to 2gb... I may not dual boot then if this is an issue... I do know that the more ram you have for video editing the better... A few thinga I do know are to make sure your scratch disk isn't too big and to make sure it's on a different disk (physically seperate HD) than the one you are editing on... Sorry, I'm not much help!
