Eric, XP is not a problem, believe me, when it comes to using ram well - the problems I was having was trying to solve the 98 side of things.
Unfortunately, there are a number of older programs that either do not work at all or not quite right when you try to run them under XP. I just wish I could find what settings 98 needs so the 512 Megs of ram would not be the problem when trying to install 1 Gig of ram in the system. Was told by a reliable tech that you just can not put more than 512 Megs of ram into a system that is going to run 98, whether direct or dual-boot - not something I really wanted to hear, believe me.
