Ben, The issues I mentioned in my posting were just the things I found in the article that you sugguested.
The system configuration utility is actually the msconfig program - when I went into the advanced settings, this is where I told Win98SE to use just 512 megs of ram. When you end up looking at the system.ini file, you end up finding that you get a entry under the [386Enh] section, for a MaxPhysPage=1FEFF. However, I just noticed as I am writing this reply, and looking at the other values, I noticed that nothing was listed under [vcache], which was mentioned in the database article. I wonder what a good set of values for limiting the data to a max of 512 megs of ram would be???
