I didn't catch the WeatherBug conversation. I do use it and
WeatherPulse, tend to prefer WeatherBug because it uses
thermometers/local weather station about a half mile from
me. I also use SpyBot and Ad-Aware periodically and use
WindowWasher every night as part of standard maintenance.
Neither WeatherBug nor WeatherPulse trigger the spy
programs.

I am suspicious that the programs also offer additional
downloads and installations of companion programs that we
may not enjoy having on our computers. I never accept the
other program offers/downloads.

I am not particularly paranoid about some tracking
processes, do like google so much that I have allowed them
to track my surfing. After all a great-grandma buying at
Amazon or bidding on eBay isn't all that exciting but may
provide google with some funds (who knows?).
