One of our local television stataions uses it on their weather data for the day. They have recruited a number of elementary schools to supply information to the network and then they use that via Weatherbug for on the air broadcasting. When I go to the setup, the number of schools as an information source is quite extensive depending on how far from home I want to be. I have used it for several years (in the freebie mode) and every so often, have to select a new sponsor but that is the extent of what I hear from them other than an occasional newsletter type ad from Weatherbug for the paid version.
