You can't "get rid" of Visual C++, it's a M$ programming language. It was used to build IE and many other apps. You're probably going to have to ask AOL about the specific error, and they are just going to tell you to reinstall it for starters, so I'd try that first.
You've asked once before I believe about Apropose and I replied. I believe you mean Apropos. Enter Apropos spyware @Google and you see all the info you need. You also never replied as to which malware-removal program(s) you are using to either identify it or remove it. -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Does anyone know what this is? I've had it three times now in the past month. How do I get rid of it? I sign onto AOL and before I can do anything I get an error message called: Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Error. Inside the window is a red circle with a large white X in it. Next to that it says, Runtime Error! Below that it says, "Program C:\programfiles\americaonline8.0\waol.exe Below that is: Abnormal program termination. Below that is an "OK" button. When I click it (I can't do anything else, the cursor becomes a circle with a slash through it when I move it anywhere else on the screen), it shuts off AOL and I have to start it up all over again. While I've got you, does anyone know anything about Apropose? Everytime I get off line and run a spyware scan it ALWAYS picks up Apropose. I block it and then delete it and the next time I get off line, there it is again. How do I get rid of this permanently? I didn't have it a few weeks ago. Where is it coming from?
