But it was never there before and I could always delete everything in
the Temp folder before this.

I think Ed, my techie, may have already done that. I saw him open the
window used to get to that and I know he took away a lot of my tray icons.

(and check if something is running fron the .inis as well. After restarting,

But a few times I've run McAfee and it caught things AVG didn't. AVG
hasn't caught a thing in about 16 months. I suspect it's not running
completely up to snuff. Can someone resend me the free AVG again? That's how I got
it the first time. A friend in England sent it to me because Norton wasn't
catching anything. As soon as I ran AVG the first time it caught 2 viruses!! It
picked up at least 7 or 8 more after that, but once I got rid of the old hard
drive, it hasn't caught a thing since. McAfee has picked up three viruses
since I started using it a few months or so ago.

Thanks for the help. I'll try this and see what happens.
By the way, I started the anti-spy at 3:30 yesterday (Wed.), it's STILL
running and is only up to nearly halfway done. It's 3:00 a.m. (Fri.).
However, I've noticed that it usually catches Apropos at about the 13000 mark, but
it's up past 15000 and still hasn't caught anything!

                             Dale
