I am opening it in the current version of Word for the Mac. When I save it as a .pdf by using the option on the Print menu, all the bullets disappear in the .pdf. Is there a way to save it as a .pdf on the Mac and keep the bullet formatting?

I have other problems with opening Word document with Mac: Office word.

My problem is that bullets become the Yen symbol when I export that specific page or the entire newsletter as a PDF. In each case, the bullets in question are in a PDF ad within an InDesign layout. I always get the error message that PDF ad contains fonts that are not in my computer but this is not so. The ad uses the Garmond font and I have it as a true type, PS, ITC and Open Type.

Using Acrobat 6.0, I am unable to either delete or change the bullets in the PDF ad which InDesign and Acrobat 6.0 bothidentify as a graphic when I am told I cannot make the change.

My printer apparently know how to fix this since the printed newsletter has bullets instead of the Yen symbol.

I expect the issue is embedding by the original creator of the PDF ad.

Thanks for any suggestions.
