Regarding SUPRA or PORTRA, though both are optimized for scanning, neither is
"compromised" or compromises in any way.
Both, as medium contrast print emulsions, reproduce the scene as accurately
as KODAK has been able to formulate them.
PORTRA VC as you know, packs a bit more color punch than NC, but both perform
beautifully on RC paper. Both are brilliant in the computer, much better than
some people expect and even better than skeptics want to believe... or admit.

The best way to test SUPRA is to shoot it at box speed in venues know by the
shooter to be tough, shadowy and contrasty.

Some have been disappointed in SUPRA because it doesn't have or produce FUJI
type, (color television) "saturated" colors they've become accustomed to.
Most to appreciate the subtleness of PORTRA or SUPRA.
Tested by you or anyone as medium contrast print films in honest, objective
testing, both emulsions will exceed our expectations. For those who look for
"Grain," a properly developed SUPRA 100 negative produces nearly grain free
11 x 14 photos.
