The Chrysler Group makes a lot of money on minivans, but Ram truck is
also a a major source of revenue. That wasn't true until the Chrysler
designers gave Ram a unique big truck look. Everyone is copying it now,
so it's not as special as it was a few years ago, but there's new stuff
in the pipeline.
     But this is getting way off topic. I didn't mean to blow the DCX
horn. I just wanted to underscore what Pal was saying: If you can be
unique and establish trends, you can make big gains. Playing me-too
product isn't always the answer. Of course one must realize that style
is only part of the equation.
