Lets get one thing straight: it has nothing to do with climate and though use. Unless
Pentax is storing their lenses in a deep freezer. The lens have loose focus windows
brand new right out of the box - some of them have been factory fresh. When 75% of the
FA* lenses I've own have had this problem; when I can see pictures of lenses with this
problem in brochures; and when Alan reports the same, then to me it is a common
problem. I do not believe this is coincidence. The chanches are as big as winning a
billion in the lottery.
I'm sure many never experience the problem but it still is common. No, it isn't a big
deal but it makes you wonder - and its damned annoying. And its due to a bad patent of
gluing a metal piece under constant strain with double sided tape.
