40????? I shoot large/fine jpegs and get nearly 200 on a 512MB card, of which i have 2. That's 400 shots in the field, plenty. I tried RAW, but after careful comparing and consideration, especially viewing RAW and jpeg originals side by side, there was so little difference, it was almost unnoticeable on the screen, and completely irrelevent on an inkjet print.
