Looks like fungus to me, too.  Element separation usually starts at  
the edges and then creeps inward.  Separation is hardly ever seen  
with modern UV-cured optical cement.  It was much more common in the  
days when balsam was used.

Probably the fungus has etched the coating and can't really be  
cleaned off completely. Better to replace the lens element if still  
available from Pentax.  This is a job for a real expert, since focus  
will have to be reset and centration ought to be checked.
