Just finished shooting a wedding on Saturday afternoon. Previously I had been using my AF400T with Lumiquest softener on TTL with the *istD. For this round, I used the K10D and the AF400T with Lumiquest Promax Ultrasoft attachment. I used the flash on Auto setting and set the camera accordingly for the f stop. I must say, that the consistency of exposures was improved quite dramatically. You might try that with your Metz flashes and the K10D.
