I'm very curious about the corporate strategy. It almost seems as if
they are trying very hard to do enough to just barely keep Pentax
alive, but without it getting (staying) what they perceive as "too
big". It's as if they see some potentially company killing risk inthe
brand growing too big, or too fast.
My needs over the next year or two could be met by bodies and lenses
currently available on the used market. So, even if Pentax were to go
belly up this year, in the worst case I've have a very decent set of
backup bodies and lenses that should last me for quite a few years.
