Either that or, more cheaply, put two power circuits into the
transceiver with alarm whenever one battery is near depletion.
Transponders don't need power in the first place. Use rechargeable
batteries and a built-in USB-jack 5V in charger. Add a car cigarette
lighter to USB 12V-5V transformer to the package.

Make the whole thing white and call it iKeeper
