You're assuming too much about the seller here. I witnessed many times
totally different seller behavior. Something in lines with: "... is the
best brand, so you cannot go wrong is buy ..." (insert a specific brand
name here). The actual suggestion would often be totally bullshit
usually being an item that does not sell well in this specific shop.
So, if for the same money I get same size, similar functionality and bigger
sensor...why should I chose the smaller one? I don't see any reason except
Dario's lens ecosystem and, as he also says,...marketing !!...
Jaume, I maintain that cross brand comparisons are basically pointless
(http://pentax-ways.blogspot.com/2010/09/exciting-times-or-not.html).
The actual degree of similarity may break down in very unexpected places
or situations, such as:
* lack of particular lens converter for your older glass
* lack of special lighting gear, such as flashes, etc
Or even a simple thing such as availability and/or quality of local
service center may be crucial to one's decision. I, for one, would be
hesitant to buy into Nikon mainly because I know first hand how lousy
their service has been to one rather prominent local Nikonian. OTOH,
Canon and Pentax (being services by the same company locally) are safer
bets for me. Pentax service never gave me grief so far...
