Burgers don't contain breadcrumbs. A purest would say they don't contain anything but ground or chopped beef. Personally I don't have a problem with spices and maybe onions, but I draw the line at fillers.

nothing there to tell me what a burger is, as opposed to a meat loaf. Given
that there appears to be no international standard for burgers that I can
consult, I've had a quick look on the www, and the recipes for burgers don't
seem to differ in any significant way from Pomiane's recipe for bitok. So
what's your recipe for burger, and what makes Pomiane's bitok a meatloaf
rather than a burger?
