ah! as you see I got it to reply all- but I had to pull down a new
little window next to the "reply list' button...

didn't see a keyboard thing for that when I looked at the help.
the message pane shows a "reply all" button to me when relevant; the
command is also in the Message menu, and there's a keyboard command
listed in the menu; i've also added it manually to my toolbar (right
click the toolbar and choose "Customize"; if the main toolbar isn't
showing, choose View > Toolbars > Mail Toolbar)
