ok thunderbirders - I'm enjoying it but but when I finish reading

I want to keep all the sent and inbox mail where it is (other than the
junk I delete on purpose), rather than putting it elsewhere by using the
archive option. I could do that in Netscape...
thanks

You need to drop down the View menu, go to layout and check the "message
pane" line, or hit F8. This then gives you three panes, one folders, one
headers and one the presently viewed message. I use the wide layout.
Highlight the message you want to view and it appears in the message
pane. Use the scroll arrows to move amongst them.
There doesn't appear to be a "reply all" button. You have to drop down
the Message menu or use ctrl+shift+R.
I see. well i hate the three pane one... and it seems to be fine I have
the index showing up in the right hand "pane" and the other folders
listed on the left. when I click on a message to read or when I reply
the whole screen is filled up - which is what I like.
