I'm just a one window at a time kinda girl, sometimes I can manage 2 for a really good reason. There is a correlation to my social life over the years here. OR maybe because if you have spent 40 years of your life typing letters on a single page at a time and another 20
or so on a DOS screen you kinda get used to it

I have mine set to the three pane wide option. You can drag the edges of
each pane to suit, so the folders one takes up about 1/8th of the screen
and the headers one is beside it. I fit the message pane into much more
than half the remaining screen, which is plenty big enough for me. I
prefer not to be constantly opening and closing windows, so flicking
through messages with the scroll buttons is quicker and more pleasant
for me.
