Sorry to hear that Walt.  A few years ago I had that happen to me...
exactly when I was backing up my photos.  Thankfully I upload high
quality versions to my smugmug or I would of been up the creek.  So
till i can find some exact working boards for the drives, i can't
recover   (many times a drive can be brought back from the dead by
replacing the exact board on it with another).
