That certainly sounds like a much better plan than I had before it happened.

The biggest pain in the ass I face in remote storage is that I have a pretty slow internet connection, so it takes forever to upload RAW files. They're currently putting fiber optic lines in my area, though -- so maybe that'll be less of an issue before too long.
