I have I pad 1 16 gig. I have loaded pictures on an & off with camera
connection. Dropbox also works. I have had limited success with eye-fi
card. There are many good viewing/portfolio programs and decent model
release app available.
Up til now editing with the apps has been doable on jpgs but not Raw. I
would reccomend 32 gig min
I've spent last 24 hrs thinking about upgrading to latest model. Iphoto
for Ipad is being released and looks good and new screen is getting rave
review. The new one has a much improved camera. I have my old one sold
so its just a matter of how much I want to spend. Pads 2&3 are wonderful
for viewing pics on your TV thru Apple TV $99.
So I find IPAD very useful for photos and many other thing. Like a small
very portable TV where I watch podcasts MLB Netflix Kindle etc.
You might check the Apple refurb store as I expect some good buys on
Pads 2&3.
More than you wanted to know but if you have specific questions just
shout out.

Is the iPad a useful tool for photo editing.??
I don't see any USB ports, if you have photos etc stored i assume you
need to use your airport to transfer to a home computer.?
Is it better just to find a new battery for my iBook.??
Is there really a restaurant at the end of the universe.??
