They don't have anything against Pentax but Pentax decided that they didn't want to sell in brick & mortar stores, so now Bromfield has mostly Canikon gear with a smattering of Olympus (and maybe Sony). When I spoke to Ned Bunnell about this a couple years ago we said Pentax USA had a plan to return to B&M stores, but it's not something you can accomplish in a week as agreements have to be reached and Pentax has to be careful not to swamp stores with their cameras only to have them not sell. It's a process that Ned said would take years but would benefit Pentax in the long run (in the US). As I've said before, Pentax is present alongside Canikon at big box electronics stores in Spain and I've seen more people on the street with Pentax DSLRs over there than I have here in the States, despite only spending 2-3 weeks a year in Spain. I'm sure Pentax will eventually reach Best Buy, but only after it's firmly planted in B&M stores.
