Well, yeah. But that's a little like saying the best way to become
rich is to make lots of money. It's true, but doesn't provide much

It's a first step they need to take if they want anything else to work.
I think the point was that Pentax may well realise that they are in too
few major shops, the problem is finding a way to get there. I believe
it's a lot more involved these days than just to call the shop owners
and ask...

Most people aren't going to buy a camera they can't see in a local store.
They may buy it from Amazon or B&H to get a cheaper price, but they're
going to look at it at Target or Walmart first. If they don't see
Pentax there, they ain't gonna' buy a Pentax.
And if they don't buy Pentax first time around, they ain't gonna'
switch to Pentax later.
