That does not match my experience (monitors and computers having similar

I've had some bad luck with desktops, this is my third or fourth in the
same time period, but it would be unusual to have only one.

 In my experience, PC's don't have the longevity of Macs.

 My 2006 era Imac G5 is still going strong, and so is its display.

Yeah, but are you really happy running e.g. Photoshop on it?

Well, no. I'm saving my pennies for a new one. <:-|

But that's not the fault of the computer. It still works as well as it did the day I got it.
