I assume you're talking about either the A*85/1.4 or its later FA incarnation?

Of course the A*85/1.4 is the only choice to make and then you must tape
down the aperture ring at f/1.4 and only ever use it at that setting!!!
It is sacrilege to do otherwise and the fleas of a thousand camels will
infest your armpits.
