Mark! I'm in a similar boat. On another mailing list, a friend was commenting about Pentax's backwards compatibility, and complained that the Q was its own mount. When another friend saw my reply, he commented that he had some old Pentax gear kicking around, and would I like it. So, I now have another K1000, am M-28/2.8, and even better a Luna Pro.
