Maybe what we ought to, is that I buy one to use while my 77 is in
for repairs.  Then, in theory, I'll sell it to you at a bit of a 
discount, since it'll be a used lens, and I shouldn't really need 
two fast lenses in that focal length range.  When you are within a 
couple hundred dollars of having enough money for a 77, you can then 
sell the 85 at a slight loss, but still recover most of your money.

Of course, this plan is making the assumption that we are both capable of 
selling a working lens.
