Christine, The R2880 driver is included in the OS X Mavericks distribution.
Uninstalling the Epson driver is very simple: - open System Preferences and select the Printers & Scanners icon - once there, click on the printer in the list on the left - click the '-' at the bottom of that pane (you might need to click the lock and authenticate as an administrator) Once you've done that, turn on the printer, let it wake up completely, then click the '+' in the same location to reinstall the driver.
