I'm hurt that Lomo didn't release the Petzval lens in K mount, heck, who
wouldn't want to stick a brass lens on the front of their Pentax.

Well, FWIW, don't let the brand name on the lens fool you. This ain't
your father's LensBaby.
If you are into a certain kind of really soft focus portraiture that
mimics early photography (Fox Talbot et al), this lens should make it
easier to do. You won't have to smear Vaseline on a filter to get the
results.
What I found more interesting was that it was made available in Pentax
K-mount from the get-go.
Seems to me that for the past few years, there's been a dearth of
desirable third party lenses for Pentax. That might be changing; like
Ricoh may be finally reversing the brand's decline.
If you want some real fun, consider how you might use the lens for
stitched panoramas ... or stitched HDR panoramas!

Charles,
To me, your question was valid, and not confrontational at all.
But on the other hand, I am a scientist, and I know some people find my
way of asking questions - confrontational.
Someone has noted that it is a reason why many scientists have problems
in personal or social interaction: the way scientists ask questions,
make comments, or argue about things is taken as personal attacks by
some
non-scientists. (While those would be considered as healthy discussions
by scientists.)

I realize my question, too, may have sounded confrontative - not my
intent! I did see some good responses, people - thanks.
