I was working on things I was afraid might damage my house & getting ready for
in case the power went out. No damage & I'm still ready if the power does go out.
I don't know how to measure pay-off from that, but I feel good about it right
now.

Did your work pay off in any way, John? Hope it did, as your reward.

I'm here. I worked *too hard* getting ready for the storm on Wednesday &
Thursday.
I was still tired yesterday, even after sleeping most of the day & I went
back to bed after sending my last at around 5:30pm.
Radar is still showing wind & rain, but I'm not seeing much of it out my
window. I'd have to get out in the car and go somewhere to see if there's
any flooding or downed trees.
News is still saying stay home & stay out of the way. So that's what I'm
going to do.
Y'all stay safe up there, out there or where-ever "there" might be. I've
fed the cat & taken my morning medications - I'm going back to bed.

According to the weather radar, it looks like the eye of the storm is
currently due south of Raleigh, and we're in the middle of the outer
bands; some wind, some rain.
I think we'll get a lot more rain before this is over, but it doesn't
appear to be coming down hard enough to cause *major* flooding here in
Raleigh. We'll get some, but I don't think it will be anything unusual,
i.e. everything along Crabtree Creek will be under water for a few
days, but that happens at least once a year.
