 It's still "Bush's war.
He started it and it's been going on for 8 of ten years under him.
That's u all's snarky formulation , not mine. Of course, u like to not
mention that  Obama gave a timetable for ending it.  In fact, my
implication or explicit statement is that McChrystal and the rightwing
are trying to join u in your formulation , by trying to make it
"Obama's war",not theirs.

It's not winnable as far as I can tell. The Taliban can be knocked out
of the cities, but not out of the "country" side. They live too
integrally with the land.   McCrystal probably knows that better than
anybody. That's why he wants to get out of it.

Obama's statement was that Al Q must be defeated.  I seem to recall u
having a somewhat similar notion after NYC, where u live,  was
attacked on 9/11.

Will Obama use this opportunity to end McCrystal's strategy since
McCrystal is gone ?
