Phill, Might I suggest that your characterizations are far from accurate here, and I would certainly not denigrate the UK government in this fashion.
You are, however, evading the key question repeated below:
And just how does one get from Phill and friends in perpass talking about clever schemes, to "forcing" all the governments, vendors, and providers of the world to implement those schemes?
...especially when most those other governments governments and a great many providers are now scaling up their activities to instantiate more pervasive surveillance in the infrastructure.
