I just checked winehq.com, and VirtualDub gets several mentions both as
working and not, so definitely one to try but don't get your hopes up.

If you add Canonical's commercial software repositories into Ubuntu, then
apt-get install vmware-server
.. is all you need now to get the free VMWare server (and client
software) installed, under which I have a Win2K installation working
fine and you should have no problems with XP too. Even to the point that
you should be able to re-register the XP licence (after all, although XP
will see it as new hardware it is the same hardware and even an OEM
licence should be legitimately transferable to a virtual machine on the
same hardware as the OEM licence was installed on, although of-course
IANAL.).
I did this primarily because some of the printer tools I needed (for
cleaning print heads etc) worked best under Windows, and you can map the
printer across to the virtual machine just fine. (I have since bought
TurboPrint for a complete Linux solution.)

The only thing you can't do in a virtual machine as far as I can tell is
play games (the virtual machines don't support 3D graphics, and if they
did they'd be painfully slow). So apart from that, there should be no
need to boot anything other than Linux now, even if you do need to drop
into windows sometimes.
Since I don't play games I don't need a toy operating system any more.
