I'll play with this when I get chance, as I do want to have reasonable use of my machine for media, although I'm guessing that problems will be with proprietary codecs (wma etc) not ogg, xvid, etc. I'll let the list know how I get on. At the end of the day, its chicken and egg; 64 bit won't be mainstream until more people use it, but it is one clear area where Linux is miles ahead of Windows, and I have to say that most of the problems I expected haven't materialised so far. If you can suggest some specific issues you'd expect me to have I'll test them (eg specific codecs). I'll throw a bunch of MP3s at it later (and see if I can play DVDs and CDs) and report back. -- Mark Rogers // More Solutions Ltd (Peterborough Office) // 0845 45 89 555 Registered in England (0456 0902) at 13 Clarke Rd, Milton Keynes, MK1 1LG _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
