The tone of that response sounded sort of pointed, but I will overlook that. This group has always been helpful to those seeking assistance, and I have been a collector for over 25 years but I have never had a Berliner nor done much research on it. This is an original machine, and the price being asked is decent, that I know. My quandary is what a fair resale price would be, emphasis on fair. I think the last time I saw one sell, it was about $3500. If I can buy this one, resell for a fair price to someone on the board who wants it, and gain some money towards another mortgage payment, I will be happy. I am just trying to stave off homelessness for awhile, Not that it is that bad, we have three months savings. But when you get laid off and start to see those saving dwindle, you become conscious of every penny.
