Meri, I have had an EGD and colonoscopsy just four weeks ago. Everything was normal. The first one I had ordered was in the summer and couldn't do it as I was too sick and weak to do the prep. Because I have severe constipation as well as the eating problem, it was a three day prep. My PCP was so angry I canceled the first one, that's when I realized she has no clue what I'm living with and how sick I was during the summer. Thank goodness I got my stomach and intestines to settle down earlier in Nov so I could do the prep for the second date for the tests. I'm back to being pretty bad at being able to eat. I had to cancel my followup appt with the GI doctor as I was too sick to go. Hopefully when I see her next she'll have some other ideas. Thanks Lisa P.S How else can I check a doctors credentials. I know one person who saw Dr. H. at the CC and had a good experience but this didn't include surgery, and another person who was not happy with the care at CC. Where else can you get info but from word of mouth?? |
