Why would her endo take her off the Dostinex? It was obviously helping her?! Prolactinomas are notorious for causing anxiety issues and headaches with the hormonal imbalances.I'd sincerely consider having your doctor follow up with a pituitary specialist. I really think the prolactin needs to be checked and the hormone levels need to be reevaluated. Unless... she didn't have a prolactinoma after all? I'd wonder still and I'd want a second independent outside opinion. Pituitary issues can cause headaches (even without mass effect). Do consider taking your doctor to a neurologist that specializes in headache management. I know... pooh pooh. But... I did this on some advice, and the doctor started me on a medication that is relatively new to migraine management called Topamax. I am on a very low dosage at 75 mg, and my headaches are gone!
