It was obviously helping her?!   Prolactinomas are notorious for causing anxiety issues and headaches with the hormonal imbalances.I'd sincerely consider having your doctor follow up with a pituitary specialist. I really think the prolactin needs to be checked and the hormone levels need to be reevaluated.   Unless... she didn't have a prolactinoma after all? I'd wonder still and I'd want a second independent outside opinion.   Pituitary issues can cause headaches (even without mass effect). Do consider taking your doctor to a neurologist that specializes in headache management. I know... pooh pooh. But... I did this on some advice, and the doctor started me on a medication that is relatively new to migraine management called Topamax.
