hi, I'm a new poster. My daughter now age 20 has a small prolactinoma. she was diagnosed in 2000, at age 16. She was successfully treated with Dostinex for the past years. It shrunk the tumor to 1/2 the size. Her endocrinologist weaned her off the med about 8 months ago. When she went off to college in 2002, she started to get anxiety and panic attacks. she gets a lot of sinus infections and continues to have headaches, and sometimes gets dizzy or lightheaded. Her MRI's continue to show no pressing onto other surrounding areas. so her endocrinologist suspects that the headaches are caused by sinus. My question is: Has anyone tried using Amino acids in the control of anxiety? we have gotten a product called anxiety control 24. I have talked to people who have used these products and have gotten releif from depression and anxiety problems from amino acids. I'm just wondering if it is safe to use them with a pituitary disorder. I doubt if the endocrinologist would know. The capsules contain: magnesium, vitamin B-6, GABA(amino acid),glycine(amino acid0, L-glutamin(amino acid) and passion flower(herb), and primula officinalis(herb). Thanks in advance |
