I saw the surgeon today, and he gave me some bad news. The post operative MRI shows that I still have a cyst. There was a tumor AND a cyst, but they were separated by a layer of pituitary. So when he took out the tumor, he saw the pituitary, and thought he got everything. He wants me to come back in 4 months to have surgery again to remove the cyst. The endocrinologist feels that the cyst should come out due to the possiblity of hemmoraging.
Wow! I feel for you and wish you luck. Didn't they see the cyst on any pre-operative MRI?! How terribly frustrating for you! :(
