Why hydrocortisone not predisone?

My endoc moved me to prednisone when I go to the lower doses of hydrocortisone because of the short half life. Here is a converter because I always got confused - lol I am on 2.5mgs prednisone = to 10 mgs hydro. The 2.5 prednisone lasts all day, the10mgs hydro lasts till lunch time, then I am wiped - lol. Anyone else have any insight? |
