You must have the file ICE_JNIRegistry.dll in your path. Copy this DLL to
your Windows directory to make sure it is. (It should also work if this DLL
is in the current directory, so if you invoke JPluck X through the
command-line it *should* work as well.)

If HotSync still does not work after copying the DLL, check the Registry to
see if the key "\HKCU\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Core" exists.
This key has a value named "DesktopPath" which points to the Palm Desktop
installation directory. The HotSync class then parses "users.dat" in this
directory to retrieve the names and IDs.

Well bugs don't just vanish by themselves, certainly not if you don't report
them. This was actually a *serious* error with
items that appear
outside of an
. This bug must've affected quite a few documents but it
is fixed now. Also, the NekoHTML parser shipped with Beta 3 could not handle
the Seattle PI pages well. The new JPluck version comes with the latest
release of NekoHTML which parses them fine. Finally, there was another
serious bug with bulleted lists which is also fixed.

Bottom line: beta 3 handles bulleted lists extremely badly. You will see
documents with paragraphs seemingly out of order. Worse, once this error
occurs, all subsequent plucks with bulleted lists will have these errors.
Again. this is fixed in the latest release version 0.8(I changed the
versioning), which is due out
very soon.
