sorry for late reply no worries Eric I did not read that in your email as
well thanks

I am sure this situation is not what I was hoping to happen. I was kinda
hoping to be part of someone else's efforts. However seeing as there is no
one else, I am willing to do what I can. This puzzles me actually, which
leads me to constantly ask people to speak up and say what's on their minds.
If they don't see what we're trying to do as worthwhile, then enlighten me
please.

Otherwise, why not join in and volunteer your time and whatever you can?
Give back to the community that has, quite honestly, given us jobs, helped
us earn a living and made life more interesting for us.

At any rate, I'm still looking for volunteers. The event is still a way off
(Sep 30 - Oct 2), but you know how quickly these dates come up, so
preparation is always good.

We are going to have a booth, and some time (to be determined later) for
speaking engagements.

*Please volunteer any of the ff.:*
LAN equipment (a hub, a few cables and crimper. There will be wifi and
internet connections at the venue)
A printer + paper
PCs and laptops (old and new - to show off what different distros can do).
Your time (I will assign you.)
Your money (uhoh.. that part gets tricky.. but I'll issue receipts, dtails
later).
Make a presentation (about anything. Apache. Ubuntu. The CCTV discussion
going on, etc.)
Help think of a contest (Installfest, etc. How do other linuxfests in other
countries do it?)

and if you can't do any of above, just come over. I'll make a form on the
site to confirm attendance (this will help the organizers determine who will
come)
