I demonstrated this during my talk on Cloud Computing at Y4IT -- ran my
presentation from GoogleDocs, and later "published it". URL's

although it still needs some work. Fast forward to the last slide to get
links to a number of Web desktops. DesktopTwo (http://www.desktoptwo.com)
was particularly impressive because I ran OpenOffice.org from it. I wasn't
using my own computer so I don't know what plugins were installed, but if I
were to guess, it'd be Flash. And so the OS *would* matter some, because
Flash on GNU/Linux is iffy, and on xBSD is only up to version 7 I believe.
Still, it'd be interesting to see more Web desktops powered by Adobe AIR or
Silverlight.
